The Makli Necropolis near Thatta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest necropolises in the world. In collaboration with UNESCO and the Government of Sindh, Mapalytics digitally preserved three of its structures in high-resolution 3D.
The resulting digital twins form a permanent, measurable record of the monuments, which supports conservation planning, research and public education.
Virtual tour of Makli
Alongside the preservation work, we produced a virtual tour that takes visitors on a journey through aerial and ground-level views. It showcases the jewels of Makli: the tombs of Jam Nizamuddin and Isa Khan Tarkhan.
