Overview

  • The Lahore Museum aims to become a world class museum that seeks to deepen the understanding of Pakistan's cultural heritage, present circumstances and future directions. Through its innovative exhibitions, educational programmes and research and scholarship, it strives to transform the community's relationship with art and history. As repository of major collections, it documents, preserves and interprets its holdings in order to facilitate meaningful dialogue. Being the nation's oldest museum, it aspires to lead an association of Museums within the country, and to create regional and international linkages.

    Objectives

    To collect, preserve and exhibit artefacts to highlight the history and culture of the region and bring out world-wide linkages in order to:
